Kate Pears; Founder and Team co-ordinator

While Kate kick-started the clothing exchange events she has gathered a posse of like-minded green fashionistas to promote and host the events. Kate continues to develop new clothing exchanges and event partnerships through co-ordinating, conspiring with and often feeding The Clothing Exchange team. Kate is also undertaking her PhD research into how young people are living sustainably which is interrupted by the occasional opportunity to fly somewhere and give a presentation about sustainable fashion.

Felicity Large; Event and Staff co-ordinator

Felicity has been a loyal supporter of the exchange events from the very beginning (2004) and she has since become the star event co-ordinator. At the events, you’ll see Felicity and her spiked orange tresses at the door and if you’re a volunteer, she’ll be the one giving you a call … or a cocktail! While swaps are a night time affair, by day Felicity is creating wonderful gems out of reclaimed cogs and clocks at her Flinders Lane studio.

Juliette Anich; Publicity Agent and Event Assistant

Juliette has brought a wealth of fashion industry experience and boundless enthusiasm for eco-fashionism to The Clothing Exchange team. She uses her insider knowledge to promote the clothing exchange events and she invests her heart and soul the development and execution of new exchange events. In her spare time, Juliette is developing a range of divine kangaroo leather bags.

Ashley has her finger on fashion’s pulse as she busies herself updating The Clothing Exchange’s online representation. She is also involved with developing new and exciting exchange events and dedicates her energy and enthusiasm to hosting them.

Lauren Hogan; Star Event Assistant

Lauren has brought her design know-how and friendly smile to the swaps and has been assisting the team with the running of events. Lauren dreamed up the “Excess Baggage” clothing exchange which attracted a rainbow of high quality accessories for the swapping. Keep your eyes out for Lauren’s beautiful bags made out of weird and wonderful recycled knits at Hunter Gatherer stores.

Judy is kept busy managing event bookings, enquiries and co-ordinating guest lists. She is the administrative glue that holds The Clothing Exchange together an it’s her lovely phone manner on the other end of the line!

Amy McKenzie; Event book keeper

Amy has joined our team to help us balance our books and befriend the tax man! She is happily alternating between tending to her li’l one at home and typing away on her computer.

This team of five is lucky to be assisted by a hoard of highly enthused volunteers who keep the events running smoothly and share a laugh with us over a post-event cocktail!
